iPod Jukebox: An MP3 DJ Night

"You know what it's like for a friend to pull a few CDs off the shelf and say "Hey, check this out?" Well, the technology [at iPod Jukebox] allowed 13 or so people to do the same favor for a crowd of strangers. Pretty cool."
-- Rob Pegoraro, The Washington Post

Next iPod Jukebox Event: Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Cafe Saint-Ex, Washington D.C.

This month marks three years of iPod Jukebox events at Cafe Saint-Ex. We (and our iPods) have come a long way since we first began hosting events on 14th Street, and it's been a lot of fun.

We'd like to thank Mike Benson, John Snellgrove, and all the Saint-Ex bartenders, managers and staff members for having us and helping us every month, and offer our special thanks to everyone who's ever brought an mp3 player to Gate 54 to DJ.

Because we're feeling nostalgic: Here's the flyer from the first iPod Jukebox, back when all the screens were black and white, 80-gigabyte capacities were a dream, and the shuffle was a dance the Chicago Bears did back in 1985.
